WELCOME TO MY SITE!
I am a philosopher with background in economics and political science. At present I work at the University of Tromsø (Norway) as Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy. I specialize in moral and political philosophy. I am director of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at UiT and leader of the Ethics Research Group (ERG). I am also member of the Norwegian National Committee for Clinical Trials of Medicines and Medical Equipment (REK KULMU). In the past I worked as lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Liverpool (UK); as research group leader in the Zukunftskolleg at the University of Konstanz (Germany); as Interim Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bayreuth (Germany); and as postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Philosophy at Stockholm University (Sweden). In the 2016/17 academic year I was the EURIAS Junior Research Fellow in the Collegium Helveticum (ETH/University of Zurich) in Zurich, Switzerland. In the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year (May and June 2020) I was the Adam Smith Guest Professor in the Philosophy & Economics programme at the University of Bayreuth. More recently I held a Humboldt Short Term Grant in Bayreuth. In the 2022/2023 academic year I am an academic visitor in the Department of Philosophy, ELTE and an Associated Fellow at CEU IAS. In the 2023/2024 academic year I will lead a project on the conflict of moral and prudential reasons, together with Mathea Slåttholm Sagdahl, at CAS, Oslo. |
